Get Your Salsa On With Sweet Mango

Like other fruits, mangos are a healthy and nutritious snack by itself. Or it can be combined with other ingredients to add sweetness and strong flavor to a recipe. Mangos can provide 100% of your daily vitamin C, 35% of your daily vitamin A and 12% of your daily fiber. That being said, what kind of dishes could mango go well in? With summer parties on the horizon, why not add mango to salsa to create a sweet and zesty treat for guests?

This recipe by Natasha’s Kitchen is super simple and easy to make. Basically, you are replacing the tomatoes with mangos to give it a sweeter taste. By combining the mango with onions, lime, and cilantro, you will be able to create a salsa that is sweet, savory, and zesty for the tastebuds.

Mango Salsa Ingredients:

1 mango, diced
1 medium avocado, diced
1/ 2 medium red onion, finely chopped
1/2 bunch fresh cilantro, (about 1/2 cup chopped)
Juice of 1 medium lime (about 2 Tbsp)
1/4 tsp salt and pinch of black pepper, or season to taste

How to Make Mango Salsa:

1. In a medium bowl, combine diced mango, avocado, finely chopped red onion and chopped cilantro.

2. Squeeze 2 Tbsp of fresh lime juice over the top and sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Toss gently to combine and serve. If not serving right away, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
